What's the name of a children's book published in Australia possibly in the early 90s?

I'm trying to remember the name of a book. My parents used to read it to me when I was younger, and my dad was from Australia, so I'm thinking it may have been published there. I can't remember the name, or whether or not there was an actual plot. All I remember were some of the pictures. Really colorful drawings. snakes, hot air balloons, animals doing human things, possibly a green house, maybe some kangaroos wearing sungles. I know this is really weird and vague, but if it rings a bell for anyone, I would really appreciate the help.
