About black cats?
They are just cats, like any other cat. Unfortunately people believe in superstitions, and these poor cats are not safe as a result. During the week before Halloween, most animal shelters will not adopt out black cats for fear they will be abused by some demented person in some act ociated with the holiday. Smart pet owners will keep all of their pets in on Halloween, but especially their black cats. I remember one story about a pet, a black cat, that was skinned alive by a gang of teenage boys on Halloween night, he couldn't be saved. I love all cats, and a black cat is only different because it is so often the victim of senseless cruelty and ignorance.
