Lip piercings, what hurts more? Lip or ear?

So I have pretty much wanted snake bites for over a year now, I am fourteen, mother told me if I got all A's on my report card, she'd allow it. So far I have had all A's and I'm getting pretty stoked about when school is out. I have three piercing already. Cartilage, and a pair on the bottom. People say the lip doesn't hurt as bad as cartilage, but I'm just making sure. So, help?
