For women: question about "the pill"?

I have been on and off the pill for many years (I won't tell you just how many though lol) and have taken them without breaking in between packs and I have not had any serious side effects. Taking the pill inconsistently can greatly affect it's effectiveness and therefore the likelihood of getting pregnant is greater.
